The presentation will identify several topics on claims – causes of claims, common mistakes made by dentists, severity of claims, trends and typical claim payments.   Documentation of patient records, development and maintaining a rapport with patients, informed consent and the procedure for terminating a dentist-patient relationship will be discussed.  Final discussion will be on coverages to look for in your policy, risk management concerns other than professional liability and employment practices liability.
