Description: Swiatowicz Dental Associates is hiring a full-time member to join our dental assisting department. You will be replacing one of our amazing assistants who will be moving out of state. We are sad to see her go, but excited to bring on someone just as passionate as her! Our practice is fast-paced and growing, and the ideal candidate will be an eager and adaptable quick-study.
Our multi-doctor practice is a general dental office, seeing patients from ages 1 to 101. We do the normal dental stuff (think fillings, crowns, dentures, extractions, and root canals), but we also do some things that set us apart from many other dental offices.
We work very closely with the intellectually and developmentally disabled (IDD) population in Delaware. Not only will candidates work with this group in the office, but they will also become certified to assist Dr. Swiatowicz in the operating room at Wilmington Hospital.
Dr. Swiatowicz also practices dental sleep medicine. Don't know what that is? No problem! We will provide on the job training to familiarize you with it. Once a month you will also head to Dover to our satellite office to provide sleep apnea treatments to VA patients (travel time is compensated when going to this location).
While we are open to a variety of awesome candidates, we do have a few requirements. You must have at least 3 years experience as a dental assistant to apply. Your radiation certification and CPR card must also be up to date. We expect candidates to have a positive attitude, a willingness to work and learn with others, and an endless capacity for putting up with our doctors' lame jokes.
This job is tough, but our team is fun and our office vibe is unlike any you've probably encountered. You should expect an excessive amount of seasonal decorations, regular snacks in the break room, and not one but TWO dinosaurs in our front garden!
Competitive salary
Performance based bonuses
Health insurance (PPO and HSA options)
401k with match
Paid time off
Dental care (of course) for you and your immediate family
As much floss as you could ever need
Hours:
Monday - 10:30-6:30
Tuesday - 8:30-5:00
Wednesday - 8:30-6:00
Thursday - 8:30-5:00
Friday - 8:30-2:00
We are excited to hear from you and look forward to meeting our next great team member!
