Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support our dental team with both administrative and clinical duties. Under the supervision of a licensed dentist, the Dental Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, sterilizing instruments, setting up treatment trays, and assisting during dental procedures. This position also involves patient care, recordkeeping, and practice support services. Children's dentistry - We see patients from age 1-20.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare treatment areas and patients for dental procedures.
Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment according to OSHA standards.
Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures to ensure patient comfort and procedural efficiency.
Take and record patient medical and dental histories, including vital signs.
Take dental radiographs (x-rays) in accordance with certification.
Document treatment notes accurately in patient records.
Provide post-operative instructions to patients as directed by the dentist.
Clean and polish removable dental appliances.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when needed.
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed at all times.
Maintain CPR certification and assist in dental and medical emergencies when necessary.
Represent the practice in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner at all times.

Physical Requirements:
Standing: Approximately 80% of the time
Sitting: Approximately 20% of the time
Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs (e.g., supplies and equipment)
Manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination
Exposure to moderate noise levels and trace amounts of gases
Frequent interaction with patients and staff
Ability to see details at close range (near vision)
