Dear Members:
Tonight (4/29/2020), we received notification from the DHSS Secretary and Director of Public Health in response to previous correspondence with the Governor’s office sharing our plans for a phased reopening of dental offices starting on May 4, 2020.
The DHSS Secretary and Director of Public Health directs DE dentists NOT to begin a resumption of routine dental services but to wait for the State to enter into Phase 1 of COVID-19 recovery.
We will keep you notified as the State progresses to Phase 1. The recommendations and guidance previously issued for protocols, PPE and safety will remain as stated. Please use this time to secure additional PPE, to continue planning your return-to-work protocols, and to train your staff on these new protocols.
